SALOMAGUE ISLAND, Cabugao Ilocos Sur

SALOMAGUE ISLAND,

Cabugao, Ilocos Sur

Last November 5, 2016, we conquered our fear riding a boat (since we don't know how to swim) just to get to Salomague Island. The island is located at Sabang beach, Cabugao Ilocos Sur, just a 30 min. ride from the centro proper. From Batac City, Ilocos Norte, we took the regular bus going to Vigan. The driver dropped us at the public market of Cabugao since according to him, it is much cheaper if we take a tricycle there. We were four adventurers then who where eager to experience another adventure and just enjoy each others' company. The ride costs us Php. 20.00 each.

Welcome to Sabang!! The journey to the island starts here! There were people in the area who will approach you as you arrive in the place. Just tell them that you want to go the Salomague Island. The island is not the only attraction here. You can also take pictures here especially its bridge. As for us, we went first to the island.

A 1 1/2 day of stay in the hidden and majestic place of ADAMS!!

Adams is located in the northern coast of the Province of Ilocos Norte. The municipality of Adams is seated about 46 km north from Laoag City. It is border by Pagudpud and Santa Praxedes in the north, Calanasan in the east, Dumalneg in the west and Vintar in the south. The road to the town can access mainly from Brgy. Pancian, Pagudpud.         Say hello to ADAMS, ILOCOS NORTE!! And so from Laoag City, we road a bus going to Claveria Cagayan for 2-3 hours. Fare only costs Php. 90.00. You will not be bored on your way since Ilocos has beautiful views along the road. Among these are beaches and the Patapat viaduct.

PANCIAN, Pagudpud is where you will stop. Just tell the conductor for your destination. Upon arriving to the place, there were already motorcylces/kurung-kurung who will take you to ADAMS, ILOCOS NORTE. And since we were five then, the two lovers, Jo and Lester, took the motorcycle and as for us three who were in the picture, Danica and Kath, took the kurung-kurung. As for us three, we paid Php. 240.00 back and forth.

Manong, tingin ka!! :) Busy si manong :D

First stop!! First hanging bridge!!

On our way!! Too bad, hindi kami nakapagfalls kasi may bagyo. Safety first!

This is where we stayed overnight. The house is really designed for visitors who want to stay. People there were nice and very accomodating. Overnight stay costs Php.180.00. For the dinner and breakfast (EAT ALL YOU CAN), it costs Php. 150.00 each so that would make it Php. 300.00.

Upon seeing our room, we took a rest first and headed already around Adams.
